Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Monora ("the App") values your privacy. The App does not collect data by default — you can use it with complete peace of mind.

Information We Collect

The App does not collect any personal information for its core features.

  • Core features operate offline — no internet connection required
  • No user data is ever transmitted to our servers
  • No third-party analytics or tracking tools are used
  • No advertisements and no advertising-related data collection

Google Calendar Integration (Optional)

The App includes an optional Google Calendar integration feature. Only when you enable this feature, the App accesses the following information:

  • Calendar event titles and times (used to auto-fill task names)
  • Google account email address (used to display connection status)

Use of Google User Data

Google user data obtained through the integration is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Calendar event titles: Used only to auto-fill the task name when starting a Pomodoro session
  • Email address: Used only to display the connected Google account in the app's settings
  • Google user data is not used for any other purposes

Sharing and Transfer of Google User Data

Regarding Google user data obtained through the integration, we guarantee the following:

  • We do not sell, share, transfer, or disclose data to any third parties
  • We do not transmit data to any external servers or cloud services
  • We do not use data for advertising, analytics, or AI/ML model training purposes
  • All data is processed and stored exclusively on your Mac

Data Protection Mechanisms

Google user data is protected by the following mechanisms:

  • OAuth 2.0 authentication tokens are encrypted and securely stored in macOS Keychain
  • All communication with Google APIs is conducted over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
  • The App requests only the minimum required scopes (calendar.events.readonly, userinfo.email)
  • Retrieved data is stored only on your Mac and is never transmitted externally

Data Retention and Deletion

The following policies apply to the retention and deletion of Google user data:

  • Calendar event data is used temporarily and discarded from memory after the session ends
  • Authentication tokens are immediately deleted from Keychain upon disconnection
  • Uninstalling the App completely removes all Google user data, including tokens
  • You can disconnect your Google account and delete all stored data at any time via the "Disconnect" button in settings

Local Data Storage

Timer settings, theme preferences, and statistics are stored only on your Mac.

  • Never transmitted outside your device
  • Deleted when you uninstall the App
  • Never shared with other apps or services

Children's Privacy

Since the App does not collect any data, users of all ages can use it with confidence.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates.
